Our Vision

We believe that improvements to West Ealing encourage you to walk, cycle and use public transport – as streets are made safer, greener and more attractive. The programme of improvements are funded by Transport for London (TfL) and Ealing Council. West Ealing is one of the London neighbourhoods to have received funding as part of TfL’s Liveable Neighbourhood programme to promote more attractive, accessible and friendly public spaces across the capital. More information about the West Ealing Liveable Neighbourhoods original proposals are on the Ealing Council website here

Approach

– Street design improvements to make it easier to walk, cycle and wheel

– Public realm measures that add green to streets and spaces

– Complementary measures to inform and influence travel choices, encouraging more active travel

Improve neighbourhood streets

Make streets and spaces more attractive and accessible

“We listened to what West Ealing residents told us about improvements they would like to see and how we can transform local streets to fill them with more trees, wild flowers and spaces to stop and chat.

The proposals we developed have changed since we last consulted on them before Covid, and now we are going back to residents to check again if there is support for reshaping West Ealing so that it’s a healthier and more pleasant place to live, shop and socialise.”
